After Graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Meredith started her first nonprofit organization as a VISTA volunteer in Arizona. The Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization in Arizona started by her in the 1970`s is now one of the largest and most successful programs of its type in the country.
Upon obtaining her Master`s Degree in Counseling, Meredith began her first career as a Marriage, Family and Child Therapist working with families in Southern California. She learned first hand about family dynamics while working with a variety of clients and family problems.
In the 1980`s, Meredith started her own vocational rehabilitation/disability management firm. The company grew to include offices in Anaheim, Ventura and San Luis Obispo. In 1992, she sold her successful company, keeping only the San Luis Obispo office. It was then that she expanded her practice to include geriatric care management and medical case coordination.
Meredith loves the Central Coast and currently lives in Morro Bay. She is active in the community, providing training and doing public speaking about elder care issues. She has served as President of the California Rehabilitation Exchange and the California Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. She is currently a member of the National Association of Geriatric Care Managers and serves on the Adult Services Policy Council in San Luis Obispo County. Meredith is a graduate of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program, a Commissioner on the Morro Bay Promotions Committee, and a Commissioner for the County Disabled Access Appeals Board.
Additionally, Meredith is a Tai Chi Master and teaches this ancient art, as well as other wellness activities. She has three grandchildren that are her pride and joy.
